Mrs. Marie Hagge Of Ireton Died Following Stroke

Marie Zimmerman Hagge was born Sept. 8, 1885 in Ireton, and was the daughter of Richard A. and Gertrude Garrels Zimmerman. On Dec. 25, 1885, she was baptized in St. Paul's Lutheran church by Rev. Buenge.

On March 16, 1910, she was married to Herman Hagge in Ireton, Shortly, after their marriage they started farming five miles north of Ireton where they resided for 26 years after which they moved to their present home in Ireton. To this union two daughters were born, Neldred Hagge Vander Mei and Miss Leona Hagge.

April 20, 1942, she suffered a stroke which paralyzed her left side, leaving her an invalid. On the morning of May 31, 1946, she had another stroke leaving her in a coma

She passed away never regaining consciousness on Wednesday June 5, 1946.

Her parents and one sister, Mrs. Martin Moeller, preceded her in death.

Survivors are her husband two daughters and one grandchild Beulah Vander Mei, three sisters. Miss Hannah Zimmerman of Ireton, Mrs. Tillie Niehaus and Mrs. Court Struck of Fairmont, Minn., and one brother John Zimmerman of Ireton.

She reached the age of 60 year, 6 months and 27 days.

Funeral services were held in St. Paul's Lutheran church June 8 with Rev. H. W. Kregier officiating. Mrs. Dean Franken, Miss Mildred Vlotho and Miss Lois Kreiger sang 'Abide with Me'. Interment w as in Ireton cemetery.

D., and Earl Brandt of Primghar.
