John J. Westhoff Dies, Life Long Resident Of Plymouth County

John J. Westhoff, 304 Central avenue northeast died Thursday morning, Nov. 22, at his home after an illness of one and a half years.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at St. John's America Lutheran church Rev. L.L. Belk officiated at the services. Burial was in the Grant Township cemetery.

John Westhoff was born in Preston Township October 16, 1873. He attended school in Preston Township. He married Miss Mathilda Ackers in 1902. They continued to make their home in Preston and Grant Townships until 1935 when he retired and they moved to Le Mars.

Surviving besides his wjfe are three sons, John of Craig, Harry and Arnold of Le Mars. Also three grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Carl Ahrendt, of Le Mars.
