Funeral services for Mrs. Charles Earnest, 66, longtime LeMars resident who died Saturday at a hospital here, were at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. James Catholic church. Rev. L. J. LaVelle officiated. Burial was in Calvary cemetery under the direction of the Wiltgen-Luedtke funeral home.

Mrs. Earnest was born April 9, 1887 at Alton. They had lived in LeMars for the last 46 years.

Surviving are the widower; a son, Harold of Beltsville, Md.; two daughters, Patricia at home and Mrs. Florence Morse of Aurora, Ill.; two brothers and five grandchildren.
