John A. Dreckman Dies Unexpectedly

Life Long Resident In This Vicinity

John A. Dreckman, 54, lifelong resident of Plymouth county, well known farmer and stockman, died at his home in America township, February 7 following a heart attack. Mr. Dreckman was apparently in the best of health and death came un-expectedly.

Mr. Dreckman was a son of Frank Dreckman and Elizabeth Huebrock, who came from Germany.

He was born December 3, 1886, received his early education in local schools and worked on the farm until attaining manhood when he engaged in farming on his own account, and made a success in his occupation.

He was united in marrlage August 20, 1907, at St. Joseph church in this city, with Elizabeth Deters, the late Msgr. E. X. Feuerstein, performing the ceremony:

He is survived by his wife; nine sons and two daughters, Felix, Roman, Sylvester, Milton, Clarence, Adrian, Reinard, Carl, James, Mrs. Al Lahr and Celeste all of this community, one granddaughter and two brothers, Frank and Barney Dreckman, of Le Mars and son sister, Mrs. Anna Reigler, living in Canada.

Mr. Dreckman was a member of St. 'Joseph church and the Holy Name society.

He was esteemed in the community as a good citizen and neighbor and enjoyed the respect of all who knew him.

The funeral was held Monday morning in St. Joseph church and largely attended by neighbors and life long acquaintances.

Interment was made in St. Joseph cemetery under the direction of the Wiltgen funeral home.
