Mrs. Nigg Dies At Advanced Age.
Had Lived Sixty Years In This County.

Mrs. Amelia Nigg, who had lived in Plymouth county sixty years and was one of the county’s oldest residents, died Monday, February 2, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ida Schmidt, 827 First Street SE, at the advanced age of 91 years, 2 months and 16 days.

Amelia Bislin was born October 15, 1850, at Ragatz, Switzerland. She came to the United States in 1882 and lived in this community ever since except for two years spent in California. Her husband, Anton Nigg, died in 1889. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ida Schmidt, of LeMars, and Mrs. Amelia Wilson of Venice, Calif. Also one grandson, George Heinemann, of Santa Monica, California.

Funeral services were held at St. Joseph’s Catholic church in LeMars at 9 o’clock Thursday morning, February 5, Msgr. J. D. Fisch officiating, and burial was in St. Joseph’s cemetery. The pallbearers were Martin Wanderscheid, John Rolling, Pete Reisch, Fred VanGoor, Nic Wanderscheid and Frank Sudmeyer.

Deceased was a member of the Christian Mothers Society.
