Jos. J. Robinet Popular Cafe Owner Dies

Was Native Of Hospers And Lived In This Vicinity All His Life

Death claimed J. J. Robinet, 37, operator of the East Side cafe, 207 Plymouth Street NE., at the Sacred Heart hospital Tuesday evening following a two weeks illness. Mr. Robinet had been suffering from an internal malady for some time but continued at his work until a short time ago when physicians advised him of his serious condition and an operation was necessitated. He failed to rally from the ordeal, and following the operation gradually grew weaker, failing to respond to treatment.

Joseph J. Robinet lived all his life in this vicinity. He was born at Hospers on November 6, 1900, and was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Robinet, early settlers in Sioux county. He grew up in his native town where he received his early education and worked on farms and at various other occupations. He was married to Miss Lillian Wilhelmi of Plymouth county in 1923. Following their marriage, they farmed in Minnesota for a short time and later farmed in Stanton township then coming to LeMars, where he lived since.

He leaves to mourn his death his wife and two sons, Arnold and Germain; three sisters, Mrs. John Penning, Mrs. Peter Klein, Mrs. Henry Stappenhorst of Hospers, Iowa, and two brothers, Frank Robinet of Hospers and Edward Robinet of Ashton, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

Mr. Robinet what is a member of Le Mars Aerie, Order of Eagles.

Jos. Robinet was popular in a large circle of acquaintance, being possessed of a pleasing disposition and was accommodating and friendly.

The funeral was held Thursday morning at St. Joseph church in the city, Msgr. J. D. Fisch officiating at the mass and interment was made in St. Joseph cemetery.
