Mrs. Holton, wife of Patrick Holton, died at her home two miles east of Oyens yesterday after an illness due of heart trouble and other complications. The funeral will be held on Wednesday morning at St. Catherine's church in Oyens 9 o'clock and the remains will be brought to Le Mars for interment. The deceased was sixty-eight years of age and was born in Ireland, her maiden name being Mary Conway. She and her husband have left for thirty-eight years on the farm where she died and we're among the very early settlers. She was a devoted wife and mother, a good Christian woman, he loved and respected by a large circle of neighbors and friends.
The deceased besides the bereaved husband leaves four sons and a daughter. They are John Holton, Belmont, S. D., Patrick, William and Nicholas, and Mrs. B. A. Wintz, this county.

Death of Mrs. Holton
Lived On Same Farm Near Oyens For Thirty Eight YearsMrs. Patrick Holton died at the old Homestead on Monday after an illness from heart disease complicated by other ailments, surrounded by her devoted family who were bowed with keen sorrow over their great loss.
The funeral was held on Wednesday at St. Catherine's Catholic church at Oyens at nine o'clock and the large church was filled by a throng of neighbors who desired to pay a last tribute to her memory and the remains were brought to Le Mars for interment.
Deceased was born in Ireland sixty-eight years ago and her maiden name being Mary Conway. With her husband, she came to this county in the spring time of her youth and with her husband had made her home on the same farm for thirty-eight years. She drew a large circle of warm friends to her side during her long residence and all will join with the sorrowing family and their great grief. She was keenly devoted to her husband and the family and was a helpmate in every sense of the word. She was a devout member of the Catholic church and was deeply imbued with religious characteristics.
The deceased besides the bereaved husband leaves for sons and a daughter. They are John Holton, Belmont, S.D., Patrick, William and Nicholas, and Mrs. B. A. Wintz of this county.
