Nova Jack Haralson, Sr.

Nova Jack Haralson, Sr., 60, Star City, Ark., a native of Sioux City, died Monday (Aug. 16, 1982) at his home after a long illness.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the W.
Harry Christy Funeral Home in Morningside. Rev.
Herman Kelly will officiate. Members fo the
Disabled American Veterans will conduct military rites at graveside in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Members of the Triangle Lodge 643, AF&AM, will
conduct services at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Haralson was born June 23, 1922, in Sioux
City. He married Eileen L. Kelley June 20, 1942, in Sioux City.

Mr. Haralson served in the U.S. army in the
European theater during World War II and was wounded in Germany. He was a conductor for the
Chicago and Northwestern railway for 22 years, retiring in April 1973 for health reasons.

He moved to Merrill in 1960 and to Star City two years ago. He was a Nazarene and a member of the Didabled American Veterans in Sioux City, the
Veterans of Foreign Wars in Pine Bluff, Ark., Mill Creek Lodge 66, AF@AM, in Herbine, Ark., and the United Transportation Union.

Survivors are his wife; two sons, Nova Jack, Jr., of Merrill and Joseph E. of Fort Collins, Colo.; a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Sandra) Trometer of Merrill; two brothers, Karl of Sioux City and Joseph of Tulare, Calif.; five sisters, Mrs. Jack
(Joyce) Dills of Glenrock, Wyo., Mrs. Herman (Helen) Kelly of Oto, Mrs. Floyd (Pauline) Kelly and Mrs. Harold (Faith) Willis, both of Sioux City, and Mrs. Donald (Ann) Hobbs of Norfolk, Neb., and 12 grandchildren
