Pearl E. Smith, age 93 of Burnsville (formerly of Waterville, MN) entered her heavenly home on January 23, 2022.

Pearl was born and raised on a farm in Merrill Township in northwestern Iowa. She was the 7th out of 7 children born to Walter and Anna Zimmerman. Pearl attended a one room country school through 8th grade and then graduated from LeMars High School. She attended Northwestern Bible College in Minneapolis, MN when Billy Graham was president of the school. She met the love of her life, Loren Smith, when she came to First Baptist Church in Waterville, MN one summer to teach Daily Vacation Bible School. They were married in 1948. She and Loren farmed in the Waterville area for 60 years and raised 3 children, Janiel, Becky, and Bruce.

Pearl loved farm life, gardening, sewing, and was very active serving the Lord as church pianist, Sunday School and Vacation Bible School Teacher. After, Loren passed away in 2008, Pearl moved to Burnsville, to live with her daughter Becky who provided assistance and care for her until she required skilled nursing care at Mount Olivet Care View Home in Minneapolis, where she passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus.

Preceded in death by her husband, H. Loren Smith; son, Bruce; granddaughter, Stephanie; siblings: Lois, Kenneth, Noble, Roy, Evelyn, and Carol; sisters in-law: Joyce Sheldon, and Ina Nystrom;brother-in-law Wade Sheldon, son-in-law, Dave.

Survived by her daughters: Janiel Preuss and Becky (George) Gilmour; grandchildren: Eric, Jason(Joanna), Chad (Danielle), Jonathan(Beth), Joshua (Emily), Michael (Lauren), and Ethan (Amy); daughter-in-law, Lori Smith; brothers-in-law, Gary (Natalie) Sheldon, and Warren Nystrom, along with other loving family including 16 great grandchildren.

Funeral service, 11am Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Celebration Church (16655 Kenyon Ave) Lakeville, MN. Visitation from 10-11am prior to the service.
