Gone To His Rest

On Monday afternoon R.J. Clark, whose farm is about four miles south-east of town, died, after a long and lingering illness, and at 10 o'clock this morning the funeral will take place.

Mr. Clark, whose age was seventy-four years and ten months, was one of the first settlers in Plymouth County, having come here when the broad prairies were raw and unbroken, and but few farms had been taken up. He has staid here; has seen the wonderful strides made in the past ten years, and, after a life spent in honest toil, he goes to explore the realities of the Beyond.

Robert J. Clark was an honest man, a kind father, a good though humble citizen. Peace to his ashes.
