DEATH CLAIMS OLD RESIDENT
Mrs. Frank Braband Dies Suddenly Just After Arrival Home From Town
HEART FAILURE CAUSE
Came Here With Parents When Child Of Four Years

Mrs.Braband, wife of Frank Braband, residing in Stanton township, passed away very suddenly at her home early Saturday evening. Mrs. Braband was apparently in her usual good health and with her husband attending the mission meeting being held last week at St. Joseph's Church in this city. She was taken suddenly ill a short time after arriving home at 7 o'clock in the evening and succumbed before medical aid, which was summoned, could reach her. Death was due to heart failure and other complications.
The funeral services will be held this morning at 10 o'clock, at St. Joseph's Church, of which the deceased was a member. Mrs. Braband was a resident of this vicinity since early childhood, coming here when a child of four years old.
Early Residents at Alton
Rose Reiter was born at Escanaba, Michigan, January 23, 1873, and came to Iowa with her parents in 1877. They settled in Alton and their daughter received her early training at St. Mary's Academy in Alton, under the guidance of the Sisters of St. Francis. On attaining young womanhood she was united at the age of 23 in marriage, with Frank Braband, of Le Mars, the wedding taking place at St. Mary's Church in Alton, May 11, 1891. Following their marriage, they engaged in farming in Plymouth county.
Mrs. Braband leaves to mourn her death her husband, Frank Braband, two daughters and three sons, who are Viola, Olive, Leo Braband of Oyens, and Alfred and Edward living at home. There are also four grandchildren. She also leaves her sisters, Mrs. Nick [Mary] Hazel, of Le Mars, Mrs. Emil [Catherine] Kauffman, of Spalding, Neb. and three brothers, Mike Reiter, of Gibbon, Minn., Nick Reiter, of Yakima, Wash., Leo Reiter, of Lincoln, Neb., a brother, Peter Reiter, preceeding her in death four years ago.
Mrs. Braband was a devoted wife and mother, a consistant member of the church and was highly esteemed by all those in the community, who have known her during her entire life
