JOHN NASON
John Nason, 86, died at his home Wednesday morning after a brief illness.
He was born Feb. 14, 1885, in Westfield, Iowa, where he lived before moving to Jefferson in 1949. He farmed there before moving to Jefferson in 1949. He farmed there before retiring to Sioux City in 1969.
He married Stella McGiffney in Jefferson. He died May 11, 1961.
Mr. Nason was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Jefferson.
Survivors include a son, John T. of Jefferson; a daughter, Mrs. Ray (Rita) Sabo of Sioux City and one sister, Miss Anna Nason of Akron, Iowa.
The body was taken to the Larkin Funeral Home.

Funeral services for John Nason, 86, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Cathedral of the Epiphany. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. William B. Bauer will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Connors, Richard Harrington, E. J. Montague, G. J. Patterson, Albert Pomerico and Leo Uhl.
The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 o’clock tonight at the Larkin Funeral Home.
Mr. Nason died Wednesday morning at his home after a brief illness.
