Passes Away at Old Homestead
Elizabeth Groetken Lifetime Resident

Miss Elizabeth Groetken, 51, a life-long resident of Plymouth county, died at her home in Elgin township, Tuesday morning, February 1. Miss Groetken had been in failing health for several years, but her death came unexpectedly.

5he was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Groetken, early settlers, in this vicinity, and was born March 20, 1802, on the farm where she lived all her life. She leaves to mourn the death of four brothers, Henry, Joseph, John, and William Groetken, all residing here, and a sister. Sister M. William, at Worthington, Iowa.

Her parents and one brother, George, preceded her in death.

The funeral will be held at 9:30 o'clock, Friday morning, February 4 at St. Joseph's church, Msgr, J. D. Fisch, pastor of the church will officiate at the Service and burial will be made in St. Joseph's cemetery. The Wiltgen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
