Mrs. Wm. Arndt Dies After Lingering Illness

Old friends and neighbors were grieved to hear of the death of Mrs. Wm. Arndt which occurred in her home near Hinton early Monday morning, following a lingering illness. Several months ago her condition became alarming, and although all the assistance that medical aid could give was rendered, she was unable to regain her health.

Louise Reimer was born in Germany, July 11, 1868, and died June 26, 1933, at the age of 64 years, 11 months and 14 days.

At the age of six years the deceased, with her parents came to America and settled at Clinton, Ia. From there they moved to Crawford county, Iowa, where they resided a number of years. In 1888 she was united in marriage to Wm. Arndt and to this union were born ten children, who are as follows: Mrs. Wm. Lueth, Manilla, Iowa; Louir Arndt, Dalton, Iowa; Mrs. Otto Rath, Denison, Iowa; Mrs. Ed Early, Hinton; Mrs. Chris Hahn, Hinton; Albert Arndt, Lawton; John Arndt, Hinton; Henry Arndt, Hinton; Mrs. Carter Harrison, Hinton; Mrs. Emil Krause, Hinton.

In 1913 she with her husband and children came to Plymouth county where she has since resided, making their home on their farm east of town most of the time excepting a few years which was spent in Hinton.

She was confirmed in the Lutheran faith during her early life and has been faithful to Christian work during her years, a good wife, and a kind and loving mother.

She is survived by her husband, Wm. Arndt, her ten children, and 21 grandchildren, also three sisters, Mrs. Joe Holst, Denison, Iowa; Mrs. Dick Beck, Pennock, Minn.; Mrs. H. Cross, Holtville, Calif., and one brother, Herman Reimer, Independence, Mo.
