A brief mention was made in these columns last week of the death of Mrs. Alfred Buehre on Saturday, May 8, at the family home, east of town, of peritonitis, aged 32 years, 9 months, and! 28 days. (She died in Cherokee, Iowa)
Margaretha Pausch was born in Hassen, Darmstadt, Germany, on July 10, 1887, and came to America with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Pausch, in 1895, located in Johnson township, Plymouth County. She grew to womanhood there and received her education in public schools. She was united in marriage with Alfred Buehre on June 28, 1911, and they have always made their home on a farm east of here; In Portland township. Four children came to bless their home, but three of them died in Infancy.
The bereaved husband and eldest daughter, Lillian, survive; also, her father, Henry Pausch, of Merrill, and one sister, Mrs. Paul Kamradt, and two brothers, Henry and Charles Pausch, all of Johnson township, this county.
She was confirmed In the Johnson Township Lutheran Church on April 1. She was a devoted wife and mother a helpful neighbor and friend, was untimely taking away is mourned all who knew her.
Funeral services were conducted by her Pastor, Re Theo. Meyer, at the Preston Township Lutheran church on Wednesday, of last week. Interment was in the church cemetery there on April 1,
