DIED

Mrs. Isaac S. Talbott, of this city, passed away Monday morning, November 14, 1910, of tumor of the stomach, aged 63 years, 9 months and 29 days. For six months she had been a constant sufferer. She faced the inevitable with great patience and uncomplaining, sustained by true Christian fortitude.

Susan E. Summy was born January 16, 1847, in Somerset county, Pennsylvania, and moved with her parents to Illinois in 1854. There she married Issac S. Talbott on January 16, 1864. They came to Iowa in 1883 and lived on a farm near Adaville, this county, until about nine years ago, when they moved to Akron, which has since remained their home.

She accepted Christianity and united with the church when nineteen years of age and remained to the end of thoroughly consistent Christian. Devoted to her home circle, she was also ever ready and willing to help others in need and distress. Many there are to mourn her departure, but those upon whom the sense of loss falls heaviest are the devoted husband, I. D. Talbott, one daughter, Mrs. Geo. Benefiel, and two sons, Merrill M. and Reuben E. all of this place. One daughter has gone on before. She is also survived by one brother and two sisters.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. by Rev. Grant Smith in the M. E. church, of which deceased was a member. Interment in Riverside cemetery.

Relatives coming from a distance were her sisters-in-law, Mrs. Summy, of Primghar, Iowa, and Mrs. Thompson, of Mt. Olive, Illinois; her nieces, Mrs. Magee, of Primghar, Mrs. Ashby, of Mt. Olive, and Mrs. Stivers, of Des Moines.
