OBITUARY.
Harm D. Kruse
Retired Washington Township farmer, Harm D. Kruse, 86, Plymouth County native and lifelong resident, died Jan. 14, 1986, at Floyd Valley Hospital after a brief illness. He had been hospitalized since Nov. 18, 1985.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, rural Akron, in Preston Township. Rev. Robert Kruempel will officiate and burial will be in Preston Township Cemetery under the direction of the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday, with the family present from 7-8 p.m.

He was born May 3, 1899, in Washington Township to Dick and Flora Frerichs Kruse. He was a lifelong member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church. His marriage to Louise Ahrendt took place June 12, 1927, at Grant Township.

Survivors are his wife, Louise; two sons, Leonard and Charles, all of LeMars; a daughter, Mrs. William (Lauretta) Van Buskirk, LeMars; a brother, Claus Kruse and a sister, Mrs. Henry (Clara) Meyer, all of LeMars; grandchildren, Beverly Van Buskirk and Tim and Linda Kruse. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and a brother.
