SOUTH SIOUX CITY -- Dolores M. Betcke, 79, of South Sioux City passed away Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jerry Gilbreath officiating. Abiding by her wishes, following the service the body will be cremated, and a private burial will be at a later date. Visitation with the family will be 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Dolores was born March 25, 1929, in Plymouth County, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Anna (Lauschstadt) Reelfs. She graduated from Le Mars High School in 1946. She took a secretarial course and was employed in an insurance office. She married Marvin E. Betcke on April 21, 1950, in Le Mars. She later was employed as a waitress in Le Mars and South Sioux City.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church.

Survivors include three sons, Randall of Dakota City, Rock of Friendswood, Texas, and Ryan of Orange City, Iowa; two daughters, Ranelle DeJong and Rhonda Betcke, both of South Sioux City; a sister, Janice Koerner of Akron, Iowa; and several grandchildren, great and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin on Jan. 11, 1999, in Sioux City; her parents; a brother, Larry; a sister, Joyce Reelfs; and a granddaughter.
