The funeral of the late Mrs. Margaret Koehler, mention of whose death was made last week in this paper, occurred last Tuesday at the German Methodist church, Rev. F. A. Schamile of Hinton and Rev. G. C. Rheinfrank, pastor of the church, officiating. The pall bearers were grandsons of the deceased and were John, Charles and William Hahn, and F. W., G. E. and B. F. Held. Miss Margaret Strolt was born in Germany, August 10, 1818. The came to this country and lived in Pennsylvania for a time, and was united in marriage to Henry Koehler in 1847. Eight children were born to them. Four of these survive. Mrs. Caroline Held, of Hinton; Mrs. C. Hahn, of Liberty township, Henry Koehler, of Hanover, Ill., and Mrs. J. C. Grimes, of Le Mars. From Pennsylvania the family moved to Quincy, Ill. and then to Galena, coming to Le mars in 1874. Mrs. Koeher lived in Le Mars until a year or two ago when she made her home with her daughters in the south part of the county. Last May she sustained a fall, from which she recovered, but shortly afterward received another severe fall and was almost helpless from that time until death relieved her suffering.
