William Meiners, 75, 19 Second Ave. SW, died at Sacred Heart hospital Wednesday after an illness of several years. He had been a patient at the hospital for two days.

Mr. Meiners was born Aug. 27, 1891, at Forresten, Ill. He came to Plymouth county in 1904 and lived in Stanton township. His marriage to Etta F. Borchers took place June 4, 1949, at Newkirk, Okla. His parents were the late Dick Meiners and Katherine Reints Meiners.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mauer funeral home. Burial will be in LeMars Memorial cemetery under diection of the Mauer funeral home. Rev. Robert Floy will officiate.

Survivors are the widow, Etta; a brother, Edward, and two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Eilers and Mrs. John (Marie) Kruse, all of LeMars.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Ella in 1963.
