Albert Ludwig Heeren, 98, Le Mars, a Plymouth county native died Oct. 23, 1991 at Floyd Valley hospital in Le Mars.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Christ Lutheran church, rural Le Mars. Rev. Jack Hebard officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Heeren was born November 19, 1892, in Grant township, Plymouth county to William and Anna Johnson Heeren. He married Lena Croon Dec. 12, 1912, in the bride’s home in Grant township. He was a lifelong Plymouth county farmer, retiring in 1972. Mrs. Heeren died in 1959.

Mr. Heeren was a lifelong member of Christ Lutheran church and a member of the brotherhood. He held many offices in the church. He served on the Grant township trustee board and election board for many years.

Survivors include three daughters, Elnora Munzke of Salem, S.D., Edna Boyen and Lucille Plueger, both of Le Mars; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two grandchildren; three sons-in-law; four brothers, William, John, Herman and Harm; four sisters, Tena Wilken, Mary Baack, Minnie Onken and Metta Gorath.
