OBITUARY--THOMAS WARREN

Thomas Warren, a resident of Plymouth county, at Westfield, Iowa, for the past sixty-seven years passed away at the Zimmmerman Home in LeMars, Sunday, June 29, 1947, after a brief illness, at the age of nearly 20 years.

Mr. Warren was born August 30, 1857, at London, England. He came to the United States in 1880. In 1881 he was united in marriage with Emma Davies. They made their home in Westfield, where Mr. Warren served as janitor of the public school for thirty years or more.

Survivors are a son, William J. of Hinton, Iowa, and a daughter, Mrs. Mae Husted, of Salem Oregon; four brothers, James, of Long Beach, Cal.; John of Eureka, Cal; Jonas of Elk Point, S. D., and George of Sioux City; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Thompson, of Gary, S. D.; and Mrs. Sarah Hinchliff, of Park Rapids, Minn.; also by 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

There was a large attendance of relatives and friends of this well known and highly esteemed citizen at the funeral held on Wednesday afternoon in the Congregational church at Westfield, Rev. Joseph Steele officiating. Interment was in Riverside cemetery, Akron.
