Friday, June 12, 1964MRS. SUSIE CLOSNER DIES IN SIOUX CITY
Mrs. Susie K. Closner, 74, Sioux City, was dead on arrival at a Sioux City hospital Wednesday after being stricken at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Amanda Abeel, Sioux City.Mrs. Closner was born Nov. 2, 1889, in Plymouth County and was married to Charles A. Closner in Sioux City in 1910. They farmed in Plymouth County for several years before coming to Sioux City. Mr. Closner died in 1961 in Sioux City.
Survivors include three sons, William and Valentine, both of Sioux City and S. Sgt. Merlin Closner with the Army in Georgia. And, three daughters, Mrs. Abeel, and Mrs. Arthur (Lucille) Reich and Mrs. Herbert (Laura) Hill, both of Lakewood, California; 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
