Ed Keihn, Sr. Funeral Services Are Held Monday
Edward William Keihn, 75, a resident of LeMars the past 40 years, died Friday, Feb. 22, [1957], at Lutheran hospital, Sioux City, after several months of ill health.
Mr. Keihn was born Aug. 12, 1881, at Michigan City, Ind. He had lived in LeMars since moving here in 1917. He was a long-time employee of Dorr’s Turkey Farm here and was active in the business until his recent illness.
His marriage to Christina Anderson took place June 15, 1915, at Manila, Iowa.
Surviving are his wife and four sons, Edward Jr. of Martinez, Calif., Roy H. in the Navy stationed at Fort Wayne, Ind., Raymond A. of Houston, Tex., and Charles William serving with the Navy in the far east.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son who was killed in Italy during World War II; a brother and a sister.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church. Burial was in the city cemetery under the direction of the Mauer’s funeral home.
