Lillian M. Kehrberg, 81, of Le Mars, died Saturday, April 2, 2005, at the Good Samaritan Village, Brentwood Center in Le Mars.

Lillian Maxine Kehrberg was born Nov. 14, 1923, at Rock Branch, the daughter of Leslie and Marie (Foss) Woodward. She attended and graduated from Pierson High School, Pierson in 1941. Lillian was united in marriage to Verl Kehrberg on Feb. 4, 1942, in Pierson. The couple farmed in the Hinton, Le Mars, and Kingsley area until 1963 when they moved to Le Mars and have lived there since.

Lillian was active in her church, Sweet Adelines, Plymouth County Singers, Mothers Study Club, The Sunshine Club, and the Le Mars Senior Center. She also enjoyed bowling, playing cards, singing and golfing

Lillian is survived by her husband of 63 years, Verl of Le Mars; a son, Errol Kehrberg of Youngstown, Ohio; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Dennis Smith of Le Mars; two grandchildren, Kimberly Spier and her husband, Russell of Hartley and Tait Smith of Woodland Hills, Calif.; three great-granddaughters, Jessica, Mallory, and Elizabeth Spier; two sisters, Dorothy and her husband, Robert Weathers and Wanda and her husband, Donald Herbold, all of Olathe, Kan.; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Marie (Foss) Woodward and a brother, Dean Woodward in infancy.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Presbyterian United Church of Christ in Le Mars with the Rev. Dean Goebel officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Cemetery in Le Mars. Visitations will be after 3 p.m. today (Tuesday) at the Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars. The family will be present to greet friends after 5 p.m. Tuesday followed by a 6:30 p.m. prayer service at the funeral home. Visitations will continue at the church Wednesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until service time.

Memorials may be directed to the Presbyterian United Church of Christ or Hospice of Siouxland.
