Thomas Lee Miller, 60, of Sioux City, and a former Le Mars resident, died Tuesday, March 15, 2005, at his residence.
Thomas Lee Miller was born June 17, 1944, at Vanport, Ore., the son of Ralph Michael and Dorothy Marie (Hinken) Miller. The family moved to Le Mars when he was a young child. He was united in marriage to Norma Jo Williams on Sept. 3, 1966, in Le Mars. The family moved to Sioux City in 1975, where they made their home. Thomas was employed with Metz Baking Co. in Sioux City for 23 years.
His hobbies and activities included woodworking, being outdoors, bingo, cooking, his grandchildren and being around family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Jo of Sioux City; two daughters, Ange Miller of Sioux City and Kari and Tom Bertrand of Sioux City; three grandchildren, Mathtew, Alyssa and Eric Bertrand; five brothers and their wives, Don and Marlene Miller of Le Mars, Mike and Sue Miller of Dayton, Ohio, Dave and Sheryl Miller, Jim and Lynnette Miller and Bill and Tammy Miller, all of Le Mars; six sisters and their husbands, Mary K. and Francis Lean of St. Paul, Minn., Lavonne and Ray Meschke of Wisconsin, Pat and Stan Plueger and Marge and Dinks Hartman of Le Mars, Ginny Kontz of Boyden and Ann and Bob Sextro of Sioux City; a sister-in-law, Betty Holthe of St. Louis, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Dorothy Miller; and one brother in infancy.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Friday, March 18, at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel in Sioux City with the REv. Steve Broderson of Immaculate Conception Church officiating. Visitation was Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m., with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
