TODAY’S RESEARCH NOTES:
Very likely the correct father of the deceased is the previous husband of Elizabeth McWilliams, who was William Nelson Parks and they were married on October 18, 1891, in Sioux City, Iowa.
The brother listed in the obituary (N. S. Dorsey of Sioux City) was also known as Sylvester “Nicholas” Parks. William Nelson Parks was the father of these two brothers. More confirmation found in the 1910 Federal Census, Nicholas Dorsey & his wife, Elizabeth, with two “adopted sons” in the same household—Albert I. and Sylvester N.
