Herman J. Croon Rites Were Held Saturday at Craig

Funeral services for Herman J. Croon, 74, of Craig, who died at the Hawarden hospital, Wednesday, Aug. 6, after a short illness were at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. John Lutheran church at Craig.

Rev. Donald Schmidt of Craig officiated and burial was in the Craig cemetery under the direction of the Sioux Center Cooperative Burial association.

Mr. Croon was born Oct. 21, 1883, at Nokomis, Ill. He was united in marriage with Emma Meier, Dec. 15, 1907.

Survivors include two sons, Amos of Merrill and Milo of Crete, Ill., one daughter, Verna, of Craig; one sister, Mrs. Etta Johnson of Nokomis, Ill., and five grandchildren.
