PIONEER RESIDENT PASSES AWAY
Mrs. Grace Angove, 74 years of age and a resident of this vicinity for 54 years, died Tuesday at her farm home four miles southeast of James. Death was caused by a heart attack.
Mrs. Angove was born July 2, 1861, in Cornwall, England. She was married to William Angove on October 13, 1882, at Liskerd, England. They came to the United States a short time after their marriage and settled in Sioux City. She also lived at Sergeant Bluff several years.
Survivors include her widower; four sons, William Jr., of Hinton; and Herbert, Archie, and Howard of Sioux City; four daughters, Mrs. Alice Raby of Hinton; Mrs. Laude Hanson of Coulter, S.D., Mrs. Florence Karrer of Sioux City and Mrs. Ethel Barnable of Lawton; 21 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in Westcott-Doughty-Chandler funeral home with Rev. A.J. Kamman officiating. Burial will be in the Sergeants Bluff cemetery.
