Bertha B. Green

Bertha B. Green, 74, of Boise, Idaho, formerly of Sioux City, died Tuesday, June 16, 1992, at a Boise care center after a long illness.

Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Anderson-Perasso Funeral Home, with the Rev. Alex Washington officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Akron, Iowa. Her body was cremated. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Mrs. Green, the former Bertha B. Mount, was born Nov. 3, 1917, in Akron, the daughter of Allie and Bertha Mount. She was a longtime Sioux City resident until moving to Boise in 1987. She worked as a nurse’s aide for 16 years at St. Joseph Hospital and Marian Health Center.

She was a member of the Sioux City Eagles Auxiliary.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, William and Rita Kowalski of Boise, and John and Pam Kowalski of Trenton, Texas; two brothers and their wives, John and Louella Mount of Chokio, Minn., and Manuel and Dorothy Mount of Sioux City; a sister, Mrs. Lynn (Clemantine) Hummel, of Richland, S.D.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Charley, James and Leslie.
