MRS. ZIMMERMAN SERVICES TODAY

Passed Away At Sacred Heart Hospital Tuesday Morning

Last rites were held this afternoon for Sarah E. Zimmerman, of this city, who passed away Tuesday morning at 10:30 o’clock. She died at the Sacred Heart hospital where she had been taken after suffering since March with an internal malady. The services were held from the Hildreth Evangelical church with Rev. O. M. Yaggy officiating.

Sarah E. Hamm was born to Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Hamm in Stevens county, Illinois, on June 6, 1866, and at the time of her passing was 68 years, 5 months, and 28 days old. She moved with her parents from Illinois when she was eight years old to a farm north of town, known as the Hanke place. She resided there until her marriage in Le Mars to Charles H. Zimmerman on October 21, 1886. To this union four surviving children were born.

Mrs. Zimmerman was a faithful member of the Evangelical church and a hard worker for any worthy cause. She was a devoted wife and mother and was held in very high esteem by her many friends who join with the family in sorrowing at her death.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Lester Brown of Le Mars; three sons, Herb of Remsen; Sam of Le MARS AND Henry of America township; two sisters, Mrs. Warren Kaeech of Shelton, Nev.; and Mrs. Geo. Stabler of Yakima, Washington; and six brothers, Will Hamm of Akron; Fred Hamm of Medical Lake, Wash.; S.A. Hamm of Minneapolis; Charles Hamm of Sioux City; Harvey Hamm of Des Moines and George Hamm of Odessa, Minn.

Interment was made in the City cemetery with Beely’s in charge of funeral arrangements.
