Mrs. Zimmerman Rites Saturday

Mrs. Esther E. Zimmerman, 64, died Thursday, April 24, at Sacred Heart hospital after several years of illness. She had been hospitalized a week.

A lifelong resident of Plymouth county and Le Mars, she was born March 9, 1894, in Plymouth county. Esther E. Zimmerman and Samuel D. Zimmerman were married April 6, 1916, in Plymouth county.

She had been employed at the Westar college student union. Mrs. Zimmerman made her home at the Lynn apartments.

Surviving are two children, Dale of Le Mars and Mrs. Emmett (Joyce) Barnable of West Covina, Calif.; four grandchildren; three brothers, Otto Kalas of Merrill William Kalas of Glendale, Ariz. and John Kalas of Sioux City, and a sister, Mrs. Ella Wetzel of Minneapolis.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. John American Lutheran church. Rev. L. L. Brlk will officiate. Burial will be in the city cemetery under yhe direction of Mauer’s funeral home.
