Katherine Hillrichs

Katherine Margaret Hillrichs, 74, lifelong Plymouth county resident died Thursday (March 19, 1981) at Floyd Valley hospital in Le Mars after an illness of one day. Her death was unexpected.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at St. John’s Evangilical Luthern church in Preston township. Rev. Jack Hebard officiated with burial in the church cemetery.

Katherine Nannen was born Jan 9, 1907, in Preston township, rural Akron, to Henry and Marie Friechs Nannen. She married John F. Hillrichs, Feb. 21, 1939, in Preston township. She was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran church, Preston township.

Survivors are nieces and nephews.

Her husbanfd died Dec. 12, 1958. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Darlene, Feb. 28, 1973, two sisters, Marie Beeck Beitelspacher and Johanna Andresen; two brothers, Walter and Harry Nannen.
