Mrs. John Orban, 90, Dies, Services Set at St. Joseph Church

Mrs. John B. Orban, 90, longtime resident of this community, died at her home Monday after an illness of one week.

Funeral services will be at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic church. The Ft. Rev. Msgr. J. D. Fisch will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery under direction of the Wiltgen-Luedtke funeral home.

Mrs. Orban, who was 90 years old last Friday, was born June 13, 1862 in Alsace-Lorraine. She came to America at the age of 17 and was married to John B. Orban July 25, 1885 at Sioux City. The couple farmed near LeMars for many years and retired and moved to LeMars 38 years ago. Mr. Orban died January 14,1944.

Surviving are two sons, Louis and Fred of LeMars, two daughters, Anna and Leona of LeMars, one grandson Minard Orban and two great grandchildren.

The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday evenings at the funeral home, where the body will be until time of service.
