Obituary

Henry Helmut Muecke, 63, rural Hinton, died unexpectedly Thursday, Nov. 13, at his home of an apparent heart attack.

Funeral Services will be Monday, Nov. 17, at the Dickison-Michaelson funeral home, Kingsley, with Rev. Arnold E. Sommer officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery, Sioux City.

He was born Nov. 3, 1906, at Schewsen, Germany, the son of Gustave and Pauline (Munzer) Muecke. He came to this country at age 15 and before his marriage worked in the Hinton farm community.

He married Selma Porsch Feb. 14, 1942, at Salem Lutheran Church, near Rock Branch. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in Germany. After his marriage he farmed in rural Hinton area.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and two brothers.

Survivors are his wife, Selma; two sons, Roy at Colorado State University, Fort Collins and Arnold at the University of Houston, Houston; one sister, Freda in Germany and two brothers, Wilhelm in Germany and Herman, LeMars.
