Life's End
Henry Huls is dead at 82--Rites set for longtime farm operator in County.

Henry Huls, 82, who had operated the same farm in Washington Township for the last 30 years, died unexpectedly Wednesday at his farm home near Le Mars.

Funeral services will be at 2 P. M. Saturday at St John Lutheran church in Preston township, near Akron. Rev. Conrad C. Gaetzlaff will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Mauer's funeral home.

Henry Henrich Huls, was born Aug. 12, 1877 in Reipe, Ost Friesland, Germany. His parents were the late Henry Henrich Huls, Sr. and Rena Reinken Huls.

After coming to this country as a young boy, he resided in Illinois from 1882 until 1892, when he moved to Plymouth County. He had been a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Preston Township and a county resident since.

His marriage to Hilke Bohms took place Oct. 15, 1902 in Preston Township.

Surviving are his wife, one daughter, Mrs. John (Rena) Ahrendsen of Route 2, Le Mars; two sons, John E. of route 3 Le Mars, and Peter H. of Sioux City, five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are three brothers, John and Ed Huls both of Akron, and Alex Huls of Shell Lake, Wis., and two sisters, Mrs. Kate Meinjohans of Alcester, S. D., and Mrs. Rena Hein of Winner, S. D.
He was proceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and four sisters.
