Plymouth County Resident over 70 Years Passed Away May 16thFuneral services were held this afternoon May 19th for Mary Elizabeth Conner of Seney, who passed away at her home after a very short sickness on Friday, May 16. The services were conducted from Mauer’s Funeral Chapel at 2:00 o’clock with Rev. J. J. Share officiating.
Mary Elizabeth Daughtery was born on September 17th, 1873, in Plymouth County, where she has lived all her life with the exception of two years spent in South Dakota. She was united in marriage to William Conner who preceded her in death.
Survivors include five sons, Henry of Moville; Nathan of LeMars; William of Twin Brooks, S. Dak.; Charles of Seney; Robert of Linn Grove, Ia.; 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

The community was greatly shocked last Friday afternoon at the sudden death of Mrs. Lizzie Conner. Mrs. Conner will be greatly missed in this community as she has been a life long resident with the exception of two years spent in South Dakota after her marriage to William Conner who preceded her in death several years ago. Mrs. Conner was born Sept. 17, 1873 near Seney. Funeral service were held from the Mauer Funeral home Monday p.m. Rev. J. J. Share of LeMars conducting.Pallbearers were Henry Berkenpas, Allie Eason, Frank Becker, Will Reeves, Jake Berkenpas and Ole Olson. Mrs. Elizabeth Hawkins and Mrs. Clarence Reeves and Mrs. Vincent Lancaster furnished music.
She is survived by 5 sons, Henry of Moville; Nathan and Charles of Seney; Robert of Linn Grove; William of Twin Brooks, S.D.; 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Those from a distance who came to attend the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Glen Whitlock, Mrs. John Betsworth, Mrs. Elmer Betsworth, Albert, Rothbart, of Sioux City, Mrs. Fred Conner and Mr. and Mrs. Warren Conner and Mrs. Herman Porsch of Kingsley, Ia., Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Case, Tom Case, Mrs. Fred Hoback and Mrs. James Harman of Remsen, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Whittenberg, Linn Grove, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Morton of Sheldon.
