Dale Norman Huettmann
Dale Norman Huettmann, 44, Akron, died Thursday (April 17, 1986) in the University Cancer and Tumor Center in Houston, Tex.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 21 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Akron. The Rev. Benard Nelson officiated. Jon Harris, sang, "One Day At A Time" and "The Old Rugged Cross" and the congregational hymn was "What A Friend". Carol Harris was the organist. Pallbearers were Bob Robertson, Clayton Jacobson, Rodney Groon, Rick Gabel, Dean Hebeler, Bob Hebeler, Bill Hebeler, and Steve McElhatten.
Mr. Huettmann was born Feb. 19, 1942, to John and Dora Hasenbank Huettmann in Remsen. He moved to Akron at the age of two years. He attended Akron schools, graduating from the Akron high school in 1960 and worked as a carpenter. He drove a truck for Akron Feed Mill, Nelson Hatchery and Higman Sand and Gravel before becoming a welder for Wilson Trailer Co. in 1964. He worked on the Mel Brodie farm from 1969-1971. He went to work for Load King of Elk Point and was a welder for them from 1971 until June 1985 when he became disabled. He married Mary Ahrens March 22, 1968, and they made their home in Akron. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Akron, where he served as a councilman and usher. He was also a member of the Akron Snowmobile club and Akron Gun club for several years.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; one son, Christian and a daughter, Jennifer, both at home
