Mrs. Katherine M. Ludwig

Mrs. Katherine M. Ludwig, 78 315 Second Ave. NW, died Friday, Dec. 10, unexpectedly at her home. Her husband, Herbert C. Ludwig died Nov. 22, 1971.

Funeral services were Monday at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lincoln township, with Rev. Donald G. Wuertz officiating. Burial was in Trinity Lutheran cemetery, Lincoln township, under the direction of the Luken-Johnson funeral home.

The former Katherine Casper, she was born June 1, 1893, in Hungerford Township, a daughter of the late Andrew and Louise (Lubben) Casper.

She and Mr. Ludwig were married Jan. 14, 1914, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lincoln township.

Mrs. Ludwig was a lifelong Plymouth county resident.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Lincoln township, and a charter member of the ladies’ aid of the church.

Survivors are a son, Melvin of Merrill; a daughter, Mrs. Elda Weiner of Hinton; a brother, Arthur Casper of Sioux City; a sister, Mrs. Frank (Caroline) Richards of Hinton, 18 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
