Helena Berg Died Wednesday Night
Funeral Services To Be Held At Struble Saturday AfternoonFuneral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock by Rev. Bunge at Struble for Mrs. Helena Berg, who passed away at the home of Simon Siebens in Union township last night. The services will be conducted from the home of the deceased woman's daughter, Mrs. Jurgen Harms.
Mrs. Berg was born In Reepshold, Germany, on October 3, 1866, and at the time of her death was 68 years, 5 months and 3 days old. She came to Plymouth county at the age of 18 years, in 1884. She was united in the holy bonds of matrimony with Ludwig Berg in Grant township on February 25, 1887. At the time of her death, Mrs. Berg was employed as a housekeeper at the Siebens home. She was well known in this vicinity and held in very high esteem by all those who were fortunate enough to make her acquaintance. Many join the immediate family in mourning the loss of this pioneer settler.
The deceased is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Jurgen Harms of Struble, one sister, Mrs. John Harms of Washington township and seven grandchildren.
Burial will be made in the Grant township cemetery with Lukens in charge of funeral arrangements
