Mrs. Neil McKenzie

Mrs. Neil McKenzie, 79, 1407 23rd St., Sioux City, died Tuesday morning (July 19,1977) in a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 21 in Trinity Lutheran church, Sioux City. The Rev. Terry Templeton officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Akron, under the direction of Schroeder Funeral Home, Akron.

Pallbearers were Velton Barr, Ellis Tucker, Burton Swift, Mike McLane, Jim Hawks, and Wilfred Dirks.

Mrs. McKenzie, the former Alice Seaverson, was born March 27, 1898, in Lincoln County, S.D. She was married Sept. 2, 1924, in Sioux City. She was a member of the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad Women’s Club, Emerald Lodge 23 and three Delaplane Club.

Survivors include the widower; a daughter, Mrs. R. S. (Dorothy) Clark of Akron; one sister, Mrs. Neal McLane Sr., of Akron, one granddaughter and two great-grandsons.
