Mrs. Emma King Former Resident of This County Is Dead

Mrs. Emma King of Sioux City, died Thursday, April 21, after a brief illness of pneumonia.

Mrs. King was born in Europe, February 22, 1883, and came to this country at the age of 4 years and lived in and near LeMars for several years. She was married at Akron to Alvin King, who survives her.

She lived for a time at Akron when. she was married, later in Smithland and LeMars and a few years ago moved to Sioux City where she has since made her home.

Survivors include two sons, Leighton and De Loss in Sioux City, a daughter, Mrs. Violet Lundeen, Salix, a brother, Chris Braun of Sioux City and a sister, Mrs. Josephine Betsworth of LeMars. A brother, Peter Braun, died early this year and three sisters preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held at 10 o'clock Monday in the Assembly of God church in Sioux City and burial was in a Sioux City cemetery.
