LAST RITES FOR EARLY RESIDENT

MRS. THOMAS GRASER SUCCUMBS TO EFFECTS OF ACCIDENT AND INFIRMITIES

Following an accident in which she suffered a fracture of the hip bone some weeks ago, Mrs. Graser, wife of Thomas Graser, residing at 334 Fourth Avenue NW., died at the Sacred Heart hospital in this city Wednesday morning. Mrs. Graser was nearly 80 years old and infirmities of age precluded hopes for recovery from the accident.

Mrs. Graser was a resident of Le Mars since the early eighties and was I the wife of Thomas Graser, employed on the city street department for many years. Mrs. Graser was a native of the Grand Duchy of Luxemburg, Europe, and was born at. Esch on Christmas day, 1852. Her maiden name was Barbara Reiter. She came to America when a young woman and was a resident of Le Mars for forty-five years.

She was united in marriage in her native place to Thomas Graser, February 8, 1881 and they celebrated their golden wedding in Le Mars last year. Shortly after their marriage who join in wishing them much happiness. They will make their home February 8, 1881 and they celebrated In Le Mars their golden wedding in Le Mars last year. Shortly after their marriage they came to America and joined numbers of their countrymen who settled In northwest Iowa at that time.

Mrs. Graser is survived by her husband, Thomas Graser, two daughters, Mrs. Frank Erdmann, of Madison, Minn., Mrs. Robert Phillips, of Sioux City, and one son, John Graser, of Le Mars. There are eighteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Mrs. Graser was a devoted wife and mother and respected among a large number of acquaintances and associates. The funeral will be held this morning at 9 o'clock with services in St. Joseph church and interment made in the St. Joseph cemetery.
