Donna Beeck, 69, of Le Mars, Iowa passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 1, 2012 at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars with Father Matt Hewitt officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Cemetery in Le Mars. Visitations will be after 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at the Carlsen Funeral Home followed by a 4:00 p.m. Catholic Daughters of America Rosary Service and a 7:00 p.m. Scriptural Wake Service. Pallbearers will be Michael Ruba, Jeff Schoep, Jason Grubb, Ryan Grubb, Steve Griebel, Ryan Panowicz, Robert Arnold, and Jordan Arnold. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Samantha, Nick, and Ally Beeck.

Donna Jo Grubb was born December 19, 1942 in Kingsley, Iowa to Harlan (Joe) and Dorothy (Beelner) Grubb. Donna attended Henry #9 country school and later graduated from Kingsley High School in 1962. Donna had worked at the B & B Store, Clara Owen Dress Shop, and for several years as a pharmacy technician at Floyd Valley Hospital and in later years as a secretary at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Donna was united in marriage to Ronald Dean Beeck on September 28, 1963 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Kingsley. Donna and Ron were blessed with 2 children: Christopher and Elizabeth. Ron passed away on August 10, 2004. Donna had volunteered as a Cub Scout Den Mother, Girl Scout Leader, and a 4-H leader for her children. Donna was also a member of Federated Womens Club (TGA) and a member of St. James Catholic Church where she was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She enjoyed crafts, birthday club, and card club; especially playing pinochle. Donna enjoyed listening to the music of Elvis Presley. She also enjoyed watching the birds on her many bird feeders and especially loved cardinals. Donna''s greatest joy in life was her children and grandchildren. She always had a smile on her face and will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Survivors include her children, a son, Christopher and Angie Beeck of Hinton and their children Samantha, Nick, and Ally, a daughter, Elizabeth Beeck of Ankeny, Iowa; her father and step-mother, Harlan "Joe" and Vivian Grubb of Kingsley; 2 sisters, Elaine Schoep and her husband Cary of Le Mars and Lynne Ruba and her husband Jerry of Remsen; 3 brothers, Jack Grubb and his wife Diana of Kingsley, Ron Grubb and his wife Pat of Sioux City, and John Grubb and his wife Shelley of Atlanta, GA; a sister-in-law, Shirley Peterson of Le Mars; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and great nephews and nieces.

Donna was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy (Beelner) Grubb, and her husband Ronald D. Beeck on August 10, 2004.
