March 8, 1997 - July 27, 2011

Isabell, J. “Izzy” Koob, 14 of Sioux City passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 from injuries suffered in a Motocross Accident in Ponca City, OK. A Funeral Mass for Izzy will be on Monday, August 1, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church with Father Michael Erpelding officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Cemetery in LeMars, Iowa. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 31, 2011 from 4-8 p.m. with family present from 6-8 p.m. and a vigil service at 7:00 p.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Izzy was born on March 8, 1997 in to Sioux City to James and Monique (Terpenning) Koob. She had completed her 8th grade year at West Middle School. She was a very involved student at West participating in basket ball, and was the team captain in soccer at West Middle School. She also was a member on the Gateway City Lightening Soccer Team. Izzy also enjoyed Motocross Racing. In school Izzy was very dedicated as well. She was on the West Middle School Student Council and was going to be the Freshman Representative for West High School Student Council.

Izzy is survived by her parents Jim and Monique Koob; brother Eric Koob; sisters Megan Koob; Kayla Hansen; and best friend and sister Bailey Fitch; maternal grandmother Johanna Koob; paternal grandfather Arlyn Terpenning; great grandmother Margaret Jungers; uncle Timothy (Stacey) Koob and their children Austin, Mackenzie, and Braden; aunt Brenda (Chad) Fischer and their children Michael, Molly, and Mitchell; aunt Bettina (Cody) Dolensik all of Sioux City and numerous great aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Erika Terpenning, paternal grandfather Kenneth Koob and great grandmother Jerome Jungers.
