Sheldon, Iowa - Patricia Ann Milner, 55, of Sheldon, Iowa, formerly of Westfield, Iowa, passed away at her home on Tuesday, February 7, 2012.

Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the United Methodist Church in Sheldon, Iowa. Rev. Marvin Lindley will officiate. Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery (Adaville) rural Akron, Iowa. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church and will continue until the service.

Patricia Ann Milner was born on November 1, 1956 in Akron, Iowa, the daughter of Richard and Anna (Haller) Milner. She attended school for handicapped children in Iowa City. Patty also attended the rehabilitation center in Sioux City, Iowa and lived in Glenwood, Iowa for a brief time.

Patty moved to Handicapped Village (now Village Unlimited) in September of 1978. She was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. Patty always had a happy disposition and had a great memory. She was a lover of animals and children, especially babies. She also enjoyed music and attended many concerts. Patty always remembered her family and friends with birthday and holiday greetings. She thoroughly enjoyed her time at the Village, her friends and the activities they participated in.

She was a member of Sheldon United Methodist Church. Patty enjoyed attending church and Sunday School.

She will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Anna Milner of Sheldon, Iowa; two sisters Priscilla Elgersma of Primghar, Iowa and Janet Higgins and her husband Jerry of San Antonio, Texas; a brother Bob Milner and his wife Ronda of Sioux City, Iowa; a special friend, Gene Bauman of Sheldon, Iowa; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; father, Richard; a sister Audrey Swalley and her husband Chuck.
