Le Mars, Iowa – Jordon A. Strang, 29, of Le Mars, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2010, at his home in Le Mars.

Funeral services will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 1, 2010, at the Mauer – Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars. Burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery in Le Mars. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 30, 2010, at the Mauer – Johnson Funeral Home of Le Mars. The family will be present from 6-8 p.m. to greet friends. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the funeral service on Friday.

Jordon Ashley Strang was born on December 3, 1980 in Sheldon, Iowa to Virgil and Charlotte (Fields) Strang. He attended school in Roseburg, Oregon, and Everly and Spencer, Iowa. Jordon later attended Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon, Iowa. He married Jammie Sowell on March 9, 2001. They were blessed with two children, Veda and Carter. After his education, Jordon worked construction with BBB Construction in Correctionville, Iowa and Ahlrich Concrete and Brown Concrete and Masonry in Le Mars. He also worked as a cook at Uncle Albert’s, Lally’s Eastside, and the Truck Stop in Le Mars. Jordon enjoyed drawing and skateboarding.

Jordon will be lovingly remembered by his children, Veda and Carter Strang of Anthon, Iowa; his parents Virgil and Charlotte Strang of Le Mars, IA; his siblings James Neal Barnes of Portland, OR, Tawnya Wallace of Perris, CA, Shawnde Schimmer and her husband Paul of Jacksonville, FL and Leeann-marie DeJager and her husband Deric of Sioux City, IA; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Littlejohn-Homer J. Wallace; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
