FATALLY HURT IN CAR CRASH

Mrs. Walter Kehrberg Dies From Injuries Sustained in Automobile Accident

FIVE SUFFERED WOUNDS

Husband in Critical Condition At a Hospital

Mrs. Walter Kehrberg, wife of Walter Kehrberg, of Stanton township, died Monday evening in St. Joseph hospital in Sioux City from injuries which she sustained in an automobile accident the morning of Thursday, December 14.

Walter Kehrberg is in a serious condition at St. Joseph hospital from injuries he suffered in the same accident and Miss Ardea Hauswald, a sister oŁ Mrs. Kehrberg, who was with them at the time, is confined to bed at the home of her uncle, E. A. Ideker, in Le Mars, suffering from injuries to her back.

Mr. and Mrs. Peter Ritter, of Chokio, Minn., injured in the same accident, are confined to the St. Joseph hospital suffering from painful lacerations and bruises.

The accident happened December 14. as Mr. and Mrs. Kehrberg and Miss Hauswald were driving into Sioux City on Highway No. 75, near Twenty Sixth Street.

According to reports the Kehrbergs were driving south and the Ritter car was going north and collided, as Mr. Kehrberg was attempting to get out of the way of another car.

Mrs. Kehrherg's neck was broken by the force of the collision and she was internally hurt. Mr. Kehrberg sustained a broken collar bone injuries to the back of his head and has been more or less unconscious from the time of the accident and his condition is extremely critical.

Mrs. Marie M . Hauswald, of Tucson, Arizona, arrived in Le Mars Sunday night and was with, her daughter, Mrs. Kehrberg, when the end came.

Funeral this Afternoon

The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the Beely parlors and services will/be Conducted at 2 o'clock in the Stanton Evangelical church , Rev. Karl Kaupp officiating.

Born in Montana

Arvilla Marie Hauswald was born in Helena, Montana, October 20, 1900, and attended schools in Helena, Salt Lake City and Red Lodge, Montana. She was a freshman and sophomore in the Hollywood high school and later attended school in LeMars with the class of 1918.

After graduating she went to Tucson, Arizona, where she was assistant note teller in the Southern Arizona Bank and Trust company until 1923 when she went with her widowed mother and sister to Long Beach, California, where she was employed with the Williams Insurance until her marriage

She was united in marriage with Walter Kehrberg September 30, 1925, the ceremony taking place in the "Little Brown Church in the Vale" at Nashua, Iowa. On their marriage the young couple settled in the beautiful home the young husband had prepared for his bride in Stanton township.

Mrs Kehrberg was liked by all who knew her for her lovable and pleasing personality. She was an active member of t e Stanton church and held the office of president and secretary in the Missionary society.

Her father, Frederick Hauswald, preceded her in death in 1920.

She leaves to mourn her death her husband, Walter J, Kehrberg, her mother, Mrs. Marie M. Hauswald, her brother, Norman and her sister, Ardea, of Tucson, Arizona, her grandmother, Mrs. Catherine Ideker, of Le Mars, her aunts, Mrs. E. R. Dennler, of Hollywood, Calif... and Mrs. E. A. Ideker, of Le Mars, many relatives and friends,
