CHARLES SCHOEROCK DIES AT SIOUX CITY HOSPITALL – AT AGE OF 83- WAS LONGTIME COUNTY RESIDENT
Charles John Schoenrock, 83, a resident of Plymouth County the last 79 years, died Friday, Sept. 18, at Lutheran hospital, Sioux City, after several years of ailing health. He had been hospitalized two and a half weeks.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lincoln Township near Hinton. Rev. Calvin L. Harm officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Mauer’s Funeral Home.
Mr. Schoenrock was born June 23, 1876, at Elliston, Ohio, and came to Plymouth County at the age of 4. He was son of the late Gustave and Wilhelmina Epiling Schoenrock.
His marriage to Frieda Tobolt took place June 30, 1909, at Trinity Lutheran Church near Hinton. Mr. Schoenrock was a retired farmer.
Surviving are two sons, Walter Schoenrock both of Le Mars; three daughters, Mrs. Harold (Louise) Lang of Le Mars, Mrs. Harold (Louise) Lang of Le Mars, Mrs. Ed. Viola) Lang of Merrill and Mrs. Wilfred (Leona) Lahrs of Hinton; 18 grandchildren; one great-grandchild, and a sister, Mrs. Martha Ideker of Leeds.
He was preceded in death by his wife; one son, Lester; three brothers and a sister.
