Mrs. C. Weidenfeller

Mrs. Carl Weidenfeller, 76, of Akron, died Saturday (Dec. 6, 1980) in the Akron hospital of long illness.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Patrick Catholic Church, Akron. The Rev. Stanley Stone officiated. Burial was I St. Joseph Cemetery (now St. Patrick’s Cemetery) near Akron. The rosary was recited by the Catholic Daughters of American at 4 p.m. Monday and by the parish at 8 p.m. in the Schroeder Funeral Home.

Mrs. Weidenfeller, the former Katherine Byrnes, was born July 19, 1904, in Brookings, S.D. She was married June 14, 1926, at Akron and they resided in the Akron area. Mr. Weidenfeller died Jan. 12, 1967. She entered the Morningside Manor nursing home at Alcester, S.D. 3 ½ years ago. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the Daughters of the American Legion.

Survivors include one son, Ted of Minneapolis, Minn.; one sister, Mrs. Majorie Kelly of Pipestone, Minn. and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers were; Lowell Johnke, Richard Dirks,Richard Coyle, Phil Bernard, Robert Foley and John Schuchard.
